Re: Roku/vimeo live streaming help

I don't know anything about this, and  I'm assuming Vimeo knows what they're talking about, but I wonder why Livestream wouldn't work? It's owned by Vimeo, but at least according to the wiki live events can be broadcast on Roku and there is a Livestream Roku app that appears to be a stand alone app ...

Re: ROKU needs a Cycling Channel

You might check out Red Bulls channel, I only use it to watch surfing, so I'm really not sure if it ever carries cycling or not, but if any channel would have it, that would most likely be the one.

Re: streaming to a macbook? (not from)

Ha, didn't even think of that (obviously), and now that I am thinking, if it's an older MacBook it may not have a current enough version of Safari to encrypt passwords, have no idea about Chrome, so probably best to just ignore my suggestion completely.

Re: streaming to a macbook? (not from)

That would be easier and safer than me giving them my passwords to Netflix and Amazon to access via browser. You might try just signing into Netflix and Amazon on the MacBook they're going to use and have whatever browser you're using save the passwords. As far as I know there's no way ...

Re: Dear Roku...

31 pages of spam. 31. imagine if you were a new customer coming to this forum for help and that's what you see, it's got to be driving some people away from Roku simply because of how unprofessional it appears/is, it won't drive them out of business obviously, but it's hard to see how it's not hurti...

Re: Roku devices and their specs

Huh, I wonder what this section called Specs is for each product, must not be specs because we've been assured Roku offers no specs, and what's this, a wiki for comparing the specs of every Roku model ever made? Well that just can't be, we've been told that google just says unknown.

Re: Question about Spectrum

With Spectrum cable you can only stream all channels on your home network, if you try to stream off your home network only some channels will be available, so my guess would be that's what's happening to you, Spectrum doesn't see it's modem since you use another internet providor, so it assumes you'...

Re: superbowl streaming disruption?

We had Youtube tv freeze up and the Roku automatically reboot in the first quarter, took a few minutes to pull the stream back up after that, but worked fine for the rest of the game.

Re: microSD insertion issues Premier+

It's kind of hard to explain, but you probably shouldn't go by any one orientation, it could be different for different devices, instead just push in and feel for resistance, if there is resistance try a different way, it should go in smoothly and you'll probably have to use your fingernail to push ...

Re: Problems with new Roku - Faulty perhaps?

You've done all that's possible, if it's still having problems and within the return window I'd suggest to go ahead and return it, just for future reference, if you're having problems with a channel you should delete, reboot and then reinstall, just mentioning it because it wasn't clear if you did t...

Re: Those Pesky Lower Four Remote Buttons

If they really bother you, you could pop the remote open and cut that section off the rubber pad, you could always put them back if you wanted. Of course, the remote wouldn't look very good with four empty holes (and you'd probably want to put scotch tape over them to stop dust getting in), but if y...

Re: Looping a YouTube video

Not that I know of, you can check though, while a video is playing press the up arrow on the remote and then click on the three dots on the left hand side, that should show all your options and I assume loop would be there if it's possible, but I've never seen it, there doesn't seem to be anything i...

Re: Old Roku 1 support?

I have a Roku 1 and it's really not worth spending any money on, mine is horribly slow and it's already starting to lose support from channels, Directv and Youtube tv arent supported, Plex stopped support (although they may have added it back), cant remember about Hulu, point is any money spent on ...

Re: Roku3/Spectrum TV app

Yeah, i still use Spectrum internet, but i dropped their cable because not only was the app awful and always throwing error codes, you can only watch it on your home network. You might look into some of the streaming services available now like Sling TV, DirectV or YouTube TV (YouTube is what i curr...
