Look for CTS/RTS in your router setup. Lower it down to around 512. That should fix that problem.

Re: R u kidding?

The new update looks great! U must have a bad tv! Roku should charge more for this thing! Unless my TV happened to go bad at the exact same time my box updated to 1.5, I doubt it's my TV. Although if my TV WAS bad, I'd have an excuse to get a new one... :) The image is still totally watchable, it j...

More than likely, yes. If you are going over HDMI, then that probably a definate yes.

the film "jimmy and judy" will only play at 2 dots even when forcing a higher stream. i have not tried the "play main profile stream" yet. "jimmy and judy" DID work with the box set to "main profile stream"...although i wish it hadn't That just tells you that...

I'm not posting to get involved in the debate on what is and is not HD but in case someone is keeping track, count me as one who would like to see support for 1080i. My old HD Toshiba tv does not support 720p. :( Also post in the "Feature suggestions" sticky thread. The roku folks made th...

Re: My TV is better than your TV, and I'm bigger!

The insulting comments about how 720p quilifies as HD as though that is the end of the discussion is generally coming from men who need to buy male enhancement products. There is nothing insulting about such comments. Just because you feel insulted doesn't mean anything insulting was stated. 720P i...

I understand that a lot of people are terribly tweaked over this issue... but how many threads are necessary to discuss it? Mods: can we consolidate these threads down into a single discussion? How many threads did we have and do we still have about stream issues pre 1.5 and after? Personally I thi...

Personally after this thread alone has gotten to 6 pages, I would like to see some official response to if it IS going to happen and if so, then when will it happen. As stated before, I could care less about the new services that roku wants to add, thats great for them and all users. But I prefer to...

I had a dlink 514 to start and it was only B and the roku box worked fine wireless with it. My only problem with it was it was old and was starting to fail. As for saturating the network, you can stop that by changing the RTS setting on the router and it will stop knocking off your other clients.

Re: 5xHome - 3xRewind - 2x Forward

I read int his forum that by playing the below combination you can access the debug screen in the Roku box. I tried and nothing happened. In which screen do you need to be to start this sequence? Sequence: Press Home 5 times Press Rewind 3 times Press FForward 2 times it only works if you do it fro...

I thought the main benefit of an N router would be the distance it's able to reach? Speed and range are both benefits of N networking, but you only get those benefits when dealing with N capable devices, which the Roku box is not. When an N router talks to a G device (assuming the router is backwar...

Look at the number of HDTV's out there, old and new.. And then look at which ones are 720p capable. You're right, 20% was just a guess- but most TV's two years old or newer should be 720p capable (or downscalable to 480p as my first no-name branded plasma was).. But still- it's not a fix. A fix is ...

Sounds like the TWC support is full of crap and just upselling you. There is no need for any significant upstream. That's like saying you need significant upstream to browse webpages. B as in B, S as in S. Exactly! Turbo mode makes no difference to ROKU. My SpeakEasy tested download speed doubled t...
