Re: Help finding music library needed!

Hi, Bought an M1001 as a present for my boyfriend recently and have had a nightmare with it. Took ages to get it to find the network but finally managed to get this sorted. It's picking up internet radio and connecting fine but now we're having fun and games getting it to find the music from FireFl...

Ron, Haven't done anything with this for a while. I still have to manually redirect Firefly to the ext HD file - no mateer how long I wait there are no files on library till I do this. Should I try upgrading again? It's stable (ish?) right now, but right now the mac version doens't work on 10.5. It...

Re: Other media servers instead of filefly?

I just tried the twonky media server, and i have to say that it is much better than the firefly. I bought the new soundbridge home music (sold by pinnacle, too), and had problems to get firefly detected by the soundbridge. After installing twonky, everything was running easy AND BETTER. I can also ...

Hi all, I am having the same problem and was wondering if anybody figured out what was going on and how to fix it. I just set up a firefly server on my HPMediaVault NAS, and the ROKU has no problems seeing the media - the only issue seems to be the zero length playlists. I have tried creating the p...

[SNIP] The next nightlies will have playlists in memory rather than in db. They will still pull the playlist criteria from the database, but will keep them in-memory rather than in db. The version after that will move back to file-backed playlists, and the db based ones will be deprecated. Once tha...

Right, but they use different discover techniques. Did you check for multicast or igmp settings in the router?

Thx. In the meantime I found out that 128 kbps files are not rebuffering and 192 kbps files do. So reducing file size would offer a solution in my case. I converted all files to 128 kbps after saving the 192 kbps separately. I know this might offer me lesser quality but at least no rebuffering anym...

Re: Soundbridge unable to access ibraries on Firefly - Fedor

My Roku Pinnacle Soundbridge (M1001 - Firmware 3.0.44) cannot see my music libraries playing on Firefly (FC 5 - MT-DAAPD - Version 0.2.4.1). It reports that "Soundbridge found one or more DAAP servers (like iTunes) on the network, but can't connect to them". The Firefly server is running ...

Re: Smrt Playlist question

When creating a Smart Playlist, what does rating refer to? It doesn't seem to refer to the iTunes assigned rating, but this could be because iTunes isn't updating the ID3. It is the iTunes assigned rating. The ratings are 20=1 star, 40=two stars, 60=3stars, 80=4stars, 100=5 stars. They get them fro...

If it's wirelessly connected, see if there is an option in the web config of your wirelss router to enable IGMP or multicast.

Re: Firefly & Vista

Hello, I recently upgraded to Vista - and since then i keep losing firefly on my 2 SB units (one an M1001 and the other an SB Radio). The only way i seem to be able to get firefly back is to reboot the PC. I only seem to lose connection to firefly when its not in use (i.e. its never stopped playing...
