Re: LG did what?! RokuTV

Yeah, I had the same problem trying to find the thread again.
Selling LG does seem like a kind of big deal for Roku. Interesting development...

Re: Two Rokus one remote

You'll need to pair the remote with both boxes.

Re: Roku TV Questions

OK, so a Roku3 connected to a comparable TV uses 3.5 watts more streaming HD than a Roku TV.

Re: Roku TV Questions

Since a stand alone Roku needs to be connected to a TV, assuming they're comparable TVs, probably none.

Re: Problem with new Roku3

It's probably not the box if the other channels are working OK. Try removing Netflix,
reboot the box (important) and reinstall Netflix.

Glad you got it working. That's usually the first thing to try when there's a problem with one channel and everything else is working OK.

Re: Web for Roku: Worth $4.99 a month????

I don't think the Roku is capable of doing anything you mention no matter how good the app developer is. There would have to be some device on the other end doing the translation and sending the final product to the Roku, basically what Plex does. ^ This. People have been asking for, and trying to ...

Re: Roku 3 intermittent signal

I have no intention of using a streaming device directly connected to the TV. So, testing it that way is really academic and, because it's intermittent, I'm guessing it is defective. Testing connected to the TV is how you eliminate guessing. If the problem is still there, you know for sure it's the...

Don't do it. Just sit tight and wait for renojim, who developed the channel, to find the problem.
Then he'll tell you what, if anything, to do.

Re: Roku TV Questions

1. Why don't any of the Roku TV's have an ethernet port? I started using Roku for Sling TV and found that wireless just doesn't cut it when watching ESPN. Most people don't have problems with wireless. However, if you do, a USB ethernet dongle plugged into the TVwill work. Here's a post about it htt...

Re: What's new for OS 7 on Roku 2 XS?

In "Roku world" this doesn't seem to be the case. Actually, it does. Not talking about minor differences between device build numbers or incremental changes to a version, as V.6.0 to V 6.1. A major change, like from v. 6.xx to v. (OS) 7.xx. often contains many under the hood changes, but ...

Re: What's new for OS 7 on Roku 2 XS?

New version numbers (i.e. ver. 6 to ver. 7) usually mean major changes to the software, though not necessarily anything you can see.
Small changes get new builds, big changes get new versions, that may be to set up for future developments.
