All of the foreign films I've watched have had English subtitles.

You can force an update by going to settings > player info and clicking "check for updates" three times.

I agree. I went from 1.5 to 3, which is the fastest I can get here. I'd go to 6 in a flash if I could.

Check your screen saver settings. The box is always on. The light goes out when the screen saver activates.

Also note that you'll need to change your screen aspect ratio to 16/9 HD as directed on the startup screen after you update to v.1.5.
