It's really not an issue with the RSS request, it's when the server doesn't provide the specified image being requested... This is when the BrightSign locks-up until the error is corrected.

Will the HD1010 migrate to RSS 2.0? Currently, HD1010 only take the "description" portion of the RSS file. I would like to use CSS and other formatting features of RSS 2.0. Any thoughts of adding this?

Perhaps have an already configured .xml file with all the emergency info in it, and when needed just replace the default .xml file on your web server with the emergency .xml file. As RokuLyndon pointed out, the unit checks in every "x" seconds and if the published date inside the default ....

Thanks for the "simplified" RSS link. I broke down and have it functioning off my server now. Question, can "transitions" be used between images that are controled by the "Media RSS" feed. Currently, it only has a 'cut'.
