You might also want to consider VideoReDo for some of the problem files. BTW, I'm using the -fixTS flag, but not -maxbuffer. Do you know anything about the source of these files? I don't know what VideoReDo's QuickStream Fix actually fixes, but there is some info on their forums. Allez I played som...

The two files I recorded were OTA PBS and FOX. The PBS files needed to be fixed, but the FOX files were great after recording and removing the commercials. They work fine now. The remaining files were recorded using a 169Time modification to a satellite receiver. The files are from HBO, Showtime and...

You might also want to consider VideoReDo for some of the problem files. BTW, I'm using the -fixTS flag, but not -maxbuffer. I ran one of my problem set of files through VideoReDo and their was definitely some improvement. It was still erratic, but much more stable. I closed everything that could b...

Thanks marcelo and Allez. Just for grins I defragged my hd, but I really doubt that has anything to do with my problems. This is really frustrating since my PC plays all of my files perfectly. I ran a few of the files in one of the bad programs through MPEG2repair and even though it found a few erro...

My computer is a 3 month old Sony VAIO running Windows Media Center XP plus sp 2. The processor is a 3.0 Pentium and the hard drive is a 250 GB 7200 rpm drive. The hd should not be fragmented because of the short time I've had the PC. I'm using a MyHD 130 capture card and all of files are .ts. My ne...

Okay, I installed 2.0.28 and upgraded to the appropriate version of Mplay. I added the "-maxbuffer" and "-FixTS" flags. There is no improvement. My movies play for a few minutes and then start to break up...audio and video glitches. The only good news is that I didn't have to reboot. I'll now start ...

Thanks for all of the input. I recorded Star Wars Episode II on Fox the other night. I removed the commercials and decided to watch it yesterday. There were no glitches, dropouts...nothing bad! There was not even a problem where I had edited out the commercials. This was Firmware 1.0.17 and Mplay wi...

Firmware version 1.0.17. I have never tried to telnet....and I'm not sure how to. I'm willing to try anything once(or usually several times). The -fixTS flag looks interesting, but I've use Mpeg2repair on several files. Does -fixTS work the same way? Is there really any reason 1.0.24 should work bet...

marcelo, I have a wired network which is rock solid with only the HD1000 and my PC on it. Today I finally added the "-maxbuffer" command to Mplay and it seemed to help. I have found that if I reboot after viewing a movie, I can get much better performance on the next movie. If I can't figure somethi...

Does Anyone Have a Stable HD System Running?

I'm using HW Rev B, SW version 2.0.17 and the latest version of Mplay. I have yet to get a system running that will allow me to watch a one hour HD program without audio dropouts and/or lockup requiring reboot. Talk about frustrating! All of the HD video files I try to watch will work perfectly on m...

Update to my problem. New clue. Since 2.0.21, I am now able to go through complete videos ((films). Only once in a great while does it "drop dead". However, I find that if I wait about 5 to 10 seconds before pulling the plug, the video starts back up but wihtout sound. I reverse for 10 seconds, it ...

How do I keep the HD1000 from calling in for the time?

It appears that some of my video/audio dropouts and freeze ups are coinciding with the HD1000 calling the internet for the time. How do I stop the time calls? Do I do it with my computer or with the HD1000? I use a dial up modem which I have to physically disconnect to keep the HD1000 from hogging m...

Mplay Freeze and Audio Dropouts

I'm running 2.0.16 with Mplay and I'm having good results except for two problems. I've notice when the program is changing .ts files that I frequently get an audio dropout. Hitting Pause and Play will bring the sound back. A few times the video has frozen on the screen and the Roku is brain dead. A...

Mplay Working Great after Firmware Update

I updated my firmware, did the factory default, and MPlay now works perfectly. Files that were barely watchable with CinimaSix are now displaying error free. Great products....Roku and Mplay.
