Re: MarkupGrid Item Metadata with fixedLayout="true"

Have you tried setting the numColumns value to just the visible column count?

Re: PosterGrid focus

If you set the "horizFocusAnimationStyle" to "floatingFocus" instead of "fixedFocusWrap", you should get a key event when you reach the extents of the row. Same with "vertFocusAnimationStyle".

Re: screengraph node issues?

"buttons" is an array of strings, so you'd need to play around with single and double-quote if you want to define it in XML. Try this: <ButtonGroup id="buttonPairRight" minWidth="100" buttonHeight="10" buttons='["test3", "test4"]' /> Altern...

Re: screengraph node issues?

I don't see any code that adds buttons to the two ButtonGroups. Did you omit that from the post, or are you failing to add content? If the latter, that would be the issue.

Re: MarkupGrid Item Metadata with fixedLayout="true"

You don't need to explicitly add the interface fields. They should already be present on ContentNode. And, yes, the grid knows to automatically look for those fields when fixedLayout is set to true.

Re: Thread Rendezvous Examples ?

Thank you very much EnTerr, for your replies. Sounds like you think we'll ultimately be able to use Global node (noid?) for holding EPG data without the memory issues after pressing 'Home'. Based on what TheEndless wrote on the other thread, about global references to video player, https://forums.r...

Re: Scene Graph XML: quit app by home button freeze the device

Our SG app development is running into similar issues - pressing Home does not clear the memory. Often I can hear audio continuing indefinitely while staring at the Roku Home screen or even ater launching another app. I ran into this same issue and tracked it down to having a reference to the video...

Re: can xml reference functions outside of xml?

Maybe it's less readable to non-BrightScript experts, but I would just use the integer division operator \ instead. I would have, if i could remember it is "\". Today I pondered for a moment if int division was added at some point, even tried "div" and "//" but no dice...

Re: SG API: Previous Poster image disappears when new uri set

The only way to do that would be to use two Poster nodes in the same location and hide the inactive Poster node when the status of the active Poster node indicates that the image has loaded.

I get a "403 Forbidden" response when requesting that ad URL.  Sounds like it might require additional authorization of some sort.

Re: RAF implemented in SceneGraph component thread issue.

Unfortunately, RAF does not (yet?) have native SceneGraph integration, so you have to jump through a few hoops to get it working.  Take a look at the RAF/SG sample channels here: https://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc/Roku+Advertising+Framework#RokuAdvertisingFramework-SampleChannels

This is a decent reference for what standard BrightScript components can be used with SceneGraph and in which threads/components: https://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc ... pt+Support

Re: RowList reverts change of focus when changing row title

How about an observer on RowList.content? If not, it sounds like changing the row title is causing it to reset focus. If that's the case, then you could grab the current itemFocused before updating the title, then call jumpToRowItem immediately after updating the title.

Re: RowList reverts change of focus when changing row title

Do you have an observer set up anywhere else that could be triggered when you update m.top.focusedContent?
