Re: Nice New Channel Popcornflix

I came across this channel back in March -- viewtopic.php?f=28&t=38501&p=252493&hilit=Popcornflix#p252493

It is good to see it make it to Roku. I will have to check it out later.

Re: HDMI to Component

As noted previously, if 720p is acceptable and your TV accepts that input, you will be in business with a good converter. I'm not sure which device you are looking at, but this one -- http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10114&cs_id=1011410&p_id=8125&seq=1&...

Re: Netflix Secures Streaming Deal With DreamWorks

I for one would like to see more BBC content. I happened to watch the series "Wire in the Blood" after watching the movie about the main character coming to the US for a case.I loved the show,so I started looking for more BBC titles.Netflix has a few,I liked what I watched, from the crime ...

Re: Netflix Secures Streaming Deal With DreamWorks

I think most consumers would appreciate being able to watch older content via the $7.99/month subscription service and get access to new releases via pay-per-view option, all from one service. I believe you have just invented Amazon VOD with Prime. :) Not quite. The two big differences at this poin...

Re: Netflix Secures Streaming Deal With DreamWorks

The question remains - what is Netflix going to do between February 2012 (when their contract with Starz expires) and 2013 (When Netflix gets Dreamworks) ? Are they going to go nearly a year with no hollywood blockbuster movies or are they going to fill the void with unlimited sundance and independ...

Re: Amazon Prime Instant Video Lands FOX Content

Almost everything they added is already in Netflix and Hulu+. If you've only got Amazon Prime, that's cool, but otherwise none of it is "new". I don't know that they necessarily have to have "new" content to make it a positive addition. I for one happen to believe that they enco...

Re: Amazon Prime Instant Video Lands FOX Content

Am I the only one who thinks their lack of anything remotely resembling a queue and their inability to keep track of where you left off if you're watching a TV series are show-stoppers? Nope. I don't think you are alone. However, I don't understand why it would be a show stopper for some. An inconv...

Re: AVOD Prime - No Queue.

Short answer. No. Others have reproted using the Wish List feature as a crude option. Here is the thread on a recent discussion of the topic -- http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=43969 Among the things I note in that thread is that Prime Instant Videos home page (left side column) does ...

That does take away a little of the luster. In this rapidly changing market any number of other things could happen to alter the landscape during the intervening period.

Definitely a big win for Netflix that couldn't have come at a better time. Keeping my fingers crossed that the content will be HD vice Starz SD.

Re: Keeping track of new titles on Amazon Instant?

Or, for that matter, finding out when certain titles might be expiring. I'm kind of spoiled using http://www.InstantWatcher.com for Netflix streaming titles. I get their rss feed of titles added to Netflix streaming, and go to their website once in a while to see what will be expiring soon. Is ther...

I am much of a techie, but I think you maybe doing something wrong if you are putting the password "admin" in on the Roku. I believe the OP was saying that she used the password 'admin' to access the settings on her router after resetting it; they were not attempting to somehow Input 'admi...
