Re: Are you annoyed with Netflix channel changes?

Tried the free version, it won't launch the video, just the Netflix channel.

Will the paid version allow launching the actual video from inside the channel?

Re: Are you annoyed with Amazon channel changes?

From what I can tell, the purchased content is listed as your video library, lower left. I was able to find my content there, but it's a clumsy interface. Whence you have selected your video library, you have to check the top left. It has movies and series categories. If you make the wrong press, it...

Re: Are you annoyed with Amazon channel changes?

On other thing I forgot to mention is that they have brolen some videos. For example, trying to watch "Doctor Who, Specials season 2" got some kind of error, "Error Code: 9075". The videos are clearly listed as Amazon Prime videos, (which I have the subscription to), and have pl...

Re: Is VUDU broken for you?

That's why I built my media server, and loaded all my DVD and Blu Rays on it. I'm not dependent on my Internet connection or any third party. We actually watch very little of the streaming sites, but since we have Amazon Prime for the free shipping and Netflix just isn't that expensive, they help f...

I installed (bought) endless instant Netflix browser from the channel store. Works fine.

I've heard about that channel over the years. People say it works good.

Can you launch the video directly from The Endless' Netflix "Instant Watch Browser"?

Re: Is VUDU broken for you?

Looks like they fixed whatever was wrong. All 3, (Roku 3,
Android and web site), now allow logins from me.

Is VUDU broken for you?

<RANTING> On top of my complaints with Netflix and Amazon, just now VUDU is no longer working at all. To be fair, (and I have to streach to be fair...), this is likely a temporary thing. But blast it, can't these services make something that works well most of the time? To be clear, the VUDU channel...

Re: Are you annoyed with Netflix channel changes?

Netflix was basically forced to have an option to disable auto-play next episode. Too many users complained that it ate up their broadband network allocation. Now they are back to eating up broadband network bandwidth again, because those auto-play previews and auto-play videos can't be disabled. Th...

Re: Are you annoyed with Amazon channel changes?

Yes, I guess I need to give credit to Amazon since they did improve a
few things.

My biggest objection is that they removed the right and left function to
go forward or back one video segment, (a few seconds). This removes
the ability to easily skip the title sequence, or boring part.

Re: Are you annoyed with Netflix channel changes?

The recent Netflix channel change adds in one more annoyance. When at the video selection, (for any video now), it starts playing something. Pretty distracting to the point I can't read the descriptions. All in all, I can list 6 different annoyances with the Netflix channel on Roku. (Mine is Roku 3...

Re: Are you annoyed with Amazon channel changes?

... I want the old interface back, and want ROKU to roll back their firmware update! I too wish for the old Amazon video on demand channel. But, it's Amazon that controls it, not Roku & Co. So someone else gets my video rental & purchase money, and has been since the last screw up 2 years a...

Re: Are you annoyed with Netflix channel changes?

My list of annoyances on the Roku Netflix channel... No such thing.  In the software architecture of Netflix's channel the UI code is the same on all platforms (though not necessarily the exact same version).  Roku has no control of what it does. Yes, I understand that it's not Roku Co. that is wri...

Re: Amazon prime video in Canada

To the original questions, it's up to Amazon. They write their own channel.
Some streaming vendors hire Roku to make their channel, but never the
less, it's up to the streaming vendor to proceed.

So, contact Amazon for that region, Canada or Spain.
