No.

Photobridge can't play WMV files. UNLESS you're considering sharing it out of your PC via Windows Media Connect UPnP sharing.

If you want to be able to play it natively on the Photobridge, MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 only.

Re: It hasn't worked as well for me

I'll gladly take your hints. Via what protocol does your Roku connect to the Infrant? I have problems similar to what you describe when I try to play very high bitrate transport streams via an SMB share. If I connect via NFS to the exact same shared drive over the same exact network topology, no pr...

pg_rider: can we just send our power supplies to you for repair? I've got one of my HD1000 taken apart and it would be easier just to send the PS to you. You should probably call Chris at Pyramid (512) 458-8292. My guess would be it would be hard for them to stand behind their work if they can't ve...

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html Try it. You need either MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 video in order for the ROKu to play it. Search the forum here for more details on particulars for VLC configuration to make working files for the Roku. http://www.videolan.org/doc/streaming-howto/en/streaming-h...

Re: HDV camcorder video plays well on the PhotoBridge

If you are looking for a camera, avoid ones that use the AVC format. It doesn't use MPEG-2 so the PhotoBridge can't play back the files without conversion, which probably takes a long time with big HD video files. Anyone here have an AVCHD camcorder AND a PS3? If so, have you tried direct USB conne...

Convert on what kind of PC?

I use VLC (www.videolan.org). It seems to play anything (on my PC), and can be set to "stream" output to a Transport Stream file.

After three failures I bought my first NAS box. I design command systems for certain military undersea vessels, so I have quite a bit of experience with RAID's, primarily external SCSI and FCAL. I understand the complexity and the documentation importance! :) That said, a ReadyNAS >IS< (from all I'...

Quoting myself teehee! I see a bare NV+ a 4 Hitachi 500GB drives via newegg, for just under $1300 shipped. Seems like a lot of money, but buying a 2TB NV+ already populated and setup as a single big X-RAID is a couple hundred more. Man, I have a hard time plunking down this kind of cash. I could buy...

dgburns, my Power Supply just died again 5 months after getting it repaired (by Roku) so I was considering a move to PS3, though I will probably get my Rev A unit fixed by Pyramid to use in another room. I'm curious what is better about Roku/Mplay over PS3 for streaming video? Is the quality better...

Linux? <ahem>

I figure I won't bother with Vista until at LEAST Service Pack 2, so sorry can't help. Heck, I stayed on Win2k until XP SP2, so I've established a pattern of sorts.

If this is for a Soundbridge, you're posting in the wrong place. This is a Photobridge section of the forums. You probably want SoundBridge Control and Integration.
