Re: CAMERA App

You have to reboot after removing the channel and before reinstalling it or you haven't accomplished anything.

Re: Trickplay and BIF Files

Thanks! Downloaded. I'll give it a try when I get a chance. I really only create BIFs for my own use and decided long ago that I really don't see the value, but that may be because they took so much effort/time to create. If they're easy enough and fast enough to create I may start using them for my...

Re: Trickplay and BIF Files

Hmm... I'm with norcaljohnny. I've only used ffmpeg to extract the images and it will take several minutes for a 2 hr. movie on a quad-core i7. VirtualDub must be an order of magnitude faster and then some.

Re: Bif file creator

You probably need to install one or more dependencies.  I have no idea how to do that on iOS, but in Debian I'd start with something like:
apt-get install libavformat57

I have a feeling once you get past that one there will be others you need.

Re: Roku Ultra - wireless network issues - no Interference menu option

You're trying to argue something with me that I'm not arguing. I know it was removed. I know it helped you in the past. You don't know it does what you think it does simply because it helped with your Roku 3. Apparently I'm going to have to prove you're wrong (or maybe you're right; we'll see). You ...

Re: Roku Ultra - wireless network issues - no Interference menu option

Note that the Roku Ultra is different. Careful, because you just described that they can be on different channels, then stated they need to be on the same channel. To explicitly describe what I am experiencing, the Roku broadcasts the Wi-Fi for the remote over the same channel as the 5GHz Wi-Fi rou...

Re: Roku Ultra - wireless network issues - no Interference menu option

I'd like to add that it's poor design to broadcast Wi-Fi direct OVER TOP of the closest Wi-Fi signal (which is how Roku has designed it). It's inherently bad design. I think that's the bigger issue that needs to be addressed by them. The Interference menu isn't of concern if it's designed and devel...

Re: Screen Saver Weather Time missing weather?

You're mistaking my simple LED Time and Weather screensaver for another or for my channel that grabs NOAA satellite and radar loops that's not a screensaver (but could be; there's no video involved). I just display text using a 7-segment LED-like font. All the satellite and radar loops I've ever see...

Re: Screen Saver Weather Time missing weather?

I thought it was just mine. The reporting stations are often in volunteer's backyards, so they sometimes go offline. Mine has been working off and on the last few days, but if you're seeing a problem as well, maybe there's something more going on. I'll take a look.

Re: In-Channel subscription Method

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I can tell you what I see for monthly subscriptions.  When roChannelStore is queried with GetPurchases , subscription purchases return three values: purchaseDate - the date the subscription was originally purchased; this never changes expirationDate - the...

Re: How to expose fields obtained inside screen to main thread for a SignIn component

I think you're making it more complicated than it needs to be.  Just set the label's text value to the password/username. <children>   <Label id="password" translation="[0,0]" text="" visible="false" /> </children> password = m.top.findNode("password"...
