Like you said, there's no specs released for the upcoming version of Ultra. We don't even know if the model number has changed (current model is the 4660). If the model number doesn't change, then there's no hardware changes. Since the price is also remaining the same, my guess is there's no hardwa...
I also read about the Google integration that will soon be introduced on Roku devices. I wonder if this means that Google will be either phasing out their Android TV platform or transferring it to Roku's platform, which in my experience is far simpler and less confusing. At minimum, I hope this wil...
My Roku continues to stream after I press the power button on the Roku remote. Roku says it does not put the Roku to sleep. Can this button also send the home comand so the streams stop? This seems like a minor feature request that will help us conserve our data, power, and bandwidth. The Roku remo...
It looks like Youtube TV is testing 1080p60 on NBC Sports, Golf Channel, and CBS Sports. I've yet to see it on any of my Rokus, but this is certainly good news.
I just got the Roku Ultra to use for YoutubeTV on one of my televisions, and there must be something wrong specifically with the Roku Ultra. Youtube TV works perfectly fine streaming in HD on my xbox, computer and even the Roku streaming stick. I have the Roku Ultra plugged in via Ethernet connec...
I usually just cast from my phone, so I don't have to deal with the Roku version..
The new UI on Roku is actually better than the phone IMHO (except searching obviously). Finally having a vertical list for your subscriptions and being able to select the resolution are big updates.
I recently did a quick check of the stats window in YouTube TV on Roku. Curiously the NBCUniversal properties such as NBC Sports, Olympic Channel, and my local NBC (all of which were streaming the Olympics) are 1080p30. Other 1080p30 include Time Warner/Turner properties such as CNN, and CBS Spor...
Trying out Youtube TV, but streaming quality is bad. Stuttering, as in many dropped frames. Anyone else? Roku Ultra btw. Disable Auto detect under Display Type. And set it to 4K 60 hz (or whatever your TV supports) but not HDR. For some reason having it set to HDR mode causes all kinds of stuttering.
I just recently bought a couple of the Streaming Sticks (3800X). When I set them up to control the power and volume the screen said they wouldn’t work with a sound bar! Mine work just fine with my sound bar. Is this an anomaly or is the info on the setup screen just out of date? It will work with a...
mike, Clearly you've never worked in a corporate design environment for a huge company. Assuming competent decision making and logical processes would be a mistake. Just because a company got big doesn't mean it is still as smart as it was when it was still small and smarter. Except Netflix takes...
What channel are you playing the videos? What do you mean by "full screen"? If you mean stretching the picture, that is a feature of your television, not of Roku.
I get this too on my Streaming Stick (3600r). It also has trouble playing on the highest quality level when it is working. It seems to be streaming at the next highest quality level most of the time. I can switch to my Chromecast and the quality is like night and day better.
