Re: Amazon HD

It's a LG 32" I have it connected by WIFI... it states excellent connection in the Roku settings. I can watch HD from Netlfix, but from Amazon, it won't work. I don't know, that would be a pretty messed up if it was because of your DNS. Is this something in HD that you rented or bought? Or is ...

Re: ROKU 2 not working with playon

I'm looking for something more official. Something that Roku promotes and is a channel listed in the Channel Store. I realize there are "unofficial" solutions available, but they are not elegant to the end-user. Again, I'm thinking of something along the lines of AirPlay between iTunes an...

Re: Blockbuster going after upset Netflix customers

this was a comment on the posted article: "Blockbuster (unless I'm missing something) offers unlimited on-demand viewing at no cost." Not according to http://www.blockbuster.com/download/ondemand101/faq : "Is BLOCKBUSTER On Demand part of my current subscription plan? No. Blockbuster...

Re: Blockbuster going after upset Netflix customers

Wait... what? They're going after upset Netflix customers by charging them more? How does that make any sense? From what I gathered from the article, and a tiny bit of checking online, it looks like Blockbuster offers their on demand service for free along with the DVD by mail service, like Netflix...

Re: Vudu?

Now that the Roku 2 supports 1080p VUDU is mandatory :) The best image out there and their 99 cent sales are a great bargain. Roku has actually supported 1080p for a very long time now (well, relatively speaking). Not just being pedantic, I just want to make clear that it's not like Vudu has been w...

Re: ROKU 2 not working with playon

your better off asking on the PO forums because that is not a supported (or even endorsed) product. As for it not working, I don't think Roku is too broken up about it since they're not too happy about it even existing Roku needs to partner with another company to offer (an optional) local streamin...

Re: Is Netflix Subtitle going to be available for Roku 1 or

SSDD (same stuff different day)...This subtitle/captioning concern has been going on for quite some time now regarding Roku/Netflix. My wife is hearing impaired and uses captioning/subtitles as the only way to watch TV and movies. We enjoy the benefits of Roku and Netflix but find alternative ways ...

Re: 2,000 More Reasons to Swap Netflix for Amazon

Just to be fair, how about comparing the number of titles that HBO is showing on cable/satellite this month to those that are also being shown by Showtime or Starz? Manzanas vs Naranjas. I don't see what that has to do with Amazon vs. Netflix streaming, would you elucidate? Certainly. EnTerr's comp...

Are you certain? Look at the first post of the thread where he's quoted regarding the DVD price hike.

The first post here where TheEndless is quoting ApK? There's nothing there about the increase.

I suspect you just don't understand it. I pay you for some value you promise, you don't deliver on the promise, I want my money back. That's Capitalism 101, man. http://money.howstuffworks.com/capitalism.htm What has Netflix not delivered on? You haven't paidtem for September yet, which is when the...

Re: Some Roku 2 Info

Just guessing, but it is possible that Roku made such a decision based on usage patterns. eg when a roku dials home it is likely it tells the mothership how it is configured. Personally I prefer wired, but I can see make people not been bothered to route a wire, and I can see Roku see the opportuni...

I read that and thought for sure that I had them in my Netflix IW queue. I do. Is it that not all 12 seasons are on Netflix for streaming?

Has it been the same private channel each time this has happened?
