Re: Holiday Channel this year?

Hello Desert Dingo: What Holiday channel? Are you talking about the new "Roku Recommends" channel? This new channel is not the typical "Holiday Channel" Roku had been releasing every year in the past. Please confirm if there is indeed a new Holiday channel or if you were referri...

Re: Holiday Channel this year?

I caught it last night. Thanks Roku.

Altho most offerings are just 'paid for view' movies via M-go...at least, offers a festive mood.

Re: HBO Go and Comcast

once HBO and Showtime start offering stand alone OTT service I imagine every content provider will stop dragging their feet about authorizing channels or lose subscribers +1... Correct ! For myself and countless 1000s of other folks who do not have access to cable providers and 'no or poor' antenna...

Re: Flixster channel

I just noticed this too. The flixster channel used to be great. Showing only "In Theaters" is boring. Are there other trailer channels for Roku? In Roku channel store, I switched over to 'Fandango', which has same category options as Flixster, but no 'dvd release or 'search' option. Also ...

Flixster channel

I have been using 'Flixster' channel since beginning, it was always more in-depth category than other(s). This last few weeks they have taken down all their categories and now only list (1) 'in theatres'. No more listings for: Upcoming, New on DVD, etc. Anyone know if they are just re-vamping/updati...

Netflix Bomb Girls S3

NF will be airing Wed 26th. They are listing (as they do), S3. However it is the 90 minute movie which was decided upon, rather than a full season. It is noted as a 'wrap' storyline. It was shown in UK during October. Certainly would have loved a couple more full seasons...but very happy to see the ...

Netflix Lilyhammer S3

I just caught the announcement (via Instant Watch Browser for NF), for Lilyhammer season 3. Trailer looks great for some good fun and mayhem.

NF posted start date: Nov. 21.

Just in time for the holiday season...in fact I think it is time to re-watch first two seasons as well. :D

Re: Showtime

Showtime streaming service in the works http://usat.ly/1qqyt5T With HBO, CBS, CBSN, and now Showtime, I think it is clear that we've hit a tipping point. Like I've been saying for a long time, it was only a matter of when not if this would happen. With Showtime following HBO and CBS into the OTT re...

Re: Amazon Login

Same here! A frustrating Amazon 'merry-go-round' of stupidity. I had to keep going back (between Roku and Amazon) several times before it finally worked. I thought (at the time), it was something to do with my recent 'updating' my current credit card, which was a week or two back, I have prime. But ...

Re: HBO Standalone OTT Service Coming -- Game Changer?

This is really bad news for cable subscribers. I think HBO will have to price the OTT offering significantly higher then most cable channels. Time Warner owns more than HBO with many other channels and their own cable company. TW would not accept cable subscribers leaving in large numbers, but want...

Re: Instant browser for Netflix

That's actually my fault (partially). I've been in the process of moving and haven't been able to stay on top of updating the catalog as regularly lately, so that could explain some new releases discrepancies. As for the coming soon, that's more a limitation of the Netflix API, as the data for that...

Instant browser for Netflix

Not a complaint, just a few remarks. I have had 'Instant Netflix browser' by The Endless, almost from beginning. I have always preferred using as it was very update and well laid out. At this point, maybe because of the api support item or what, this past 3 mo or more, it has just not been maintaine...

Re: New Channel Classic Horror Movies - Doesnt work!

...Pretty much what several folks have already said. For me, it is many of the developer channels, (and there are quite a few) of the public domain and 'B' films which have anything with 'Ad-Rise' commercials attached. Poor loading; poor response time; poor platform in general. The worst of course a...

Re: popcornflix never works long enough to watch an entire m

This has been a problem since the channel started. Not that 'popcornflix' is alone in that category. Many of the older and new movie channels have small to very annoying problems. They are the worst on the 'public domain' and 'B' film channels...ad sponsored and commercial free. I happen to like a l...

Re: Media Browser Problem

Same kind of problem i've had.

Media Browser just will not get past 'server' section. Just becomes a 'merry-go-round' to nowhere. Even 'uninstall and reinstall' channel does not help.
