Re: Will Roku ever get the YouTube channel?

Its sad that I can't give my YouTube channel ( the old channel that was removed) to someone who would actually use it.I never do.Once in a while I check to see if it still works. :D I'm lousy with things that stream YouTube: LG Blu-Ray, Panasonic TV, FIOS DVR, & my Wii (just in my main home the...

Re: How to stream FROM PrimeAmazon to ROKU 2SX

It may be that he's looking for functionality that Netflix has but Amazon does not. Netflix remembers your location in a show/film if you stop watching it. The if you start watching it on another device you can pick up from where you left off. Netflix seems to keep this info across your whole accoun...

Re: HBO GO/Comcast - Not supported

We shouldn't let cable companies write our laws. Nothing is being stolen, and no one is deprived of anything. They aren't writing laws, they are writing contracts and the customers are signing them. You'd feel youself ill-used if they just broke their terms to please themselves. I'm no big fan of t...

No, I'm pretty sure forums exist for people to threaten baseless class-action suits. I don't think you've gone there yet.

I enjoy Angry Birds and play it every day on my phone.

I'm confused though... How many people have Roku 2's in their bathrooms?

Re: It's time for a UI upgrade.

I think the channel icons are about 5 times bigger than they need to be. I could get to the channel I want much quicker if they were in a grid. A configurable grid that scrolls horizontally and vertically (like the channel store) would be really cool. You could have a favorites row and other rows by...

Re: Streaming DLNA

I still dont understand why people are so set on DLNA when cloud services offer so much more. just upload to the cloud and serve that way, not only do you have access to everything within your network, but also when you leave you intranet. I've got way too much music to upload (if you count podcast...

Re: Roku Confirms Official YouTube Channel Under Development

I use youtube all the time, but I rarely go looking on the youtube website. I run across youtube videos embedded on websites, forums and blogs that are topical to the various venues they appear in. This is me as well, and yet also explains why 99% of my YouTube watching is on a PC even though I've ...

Re: Roku Confirms Official YouTube Channel Under Development

On my home entertainment center I can stream YouTube via my Panasonic TV, my LG BluRay player, my Wii, and my Verizon FIOS STB. I can also do it on my android phone, my $99 HP TouchPad, my daughter's iPod Touch, and every PC we own. I anticipate my next toaster providing YouTube streaming. I'm not m...

Re: Official Showtime Channel discussion

I guess I don't get where "a whole lot of money" is coming from. Obviously if a person has cable or satellite and they want Showtime they'd just subscribe. So their market is people with OTA, who have a decent internet connection, who have purchased a media streamer, and who also want Sho...

Re: micro sd card problem

Do you have another device (e.g. a smartphone) that you can test the card in? Or do you have a MicroSD -> SD adapter so you can test it in a PC cardreader? Do you have another card that you could test? (you'd have to be willing to have it formatted) I always have spare cards lying around, I tend to ...

But you can't watch your hometown teams unless you have moved away.

Nor can you stream your hometown (as defined by TV market) team. At least not with MLB and NHL, I assume so with NBA, not sure about MLS.

Re: Amazon Dolby Digital Issue

I think the quality of amazon dowloads just is not there yet. The visual quality of amazon hd is not even close to what you get on uverse hd on demand. I will continue to pay the 2 dollars extra to rent from uverse if a movie is not available on redbox. There must be something up with your stream b...

Have you tested another device (e.g. a DVD player) with that input on the Hitachi?

Do you get audio when it's connected?
