Yes it certainly can become addictive. You must pry yourself out of the recliner and prioritize your day...there is more to life than netflix/roku. Just keep your mind off of it bro...the roku will be there when the day is done (Thats what I had to do)
No offense Scyber, but I think I've seen you say that about netflix before. Are you like the netflix police or something??? People, do what you want to and leave it up to netflix to monitor their own policies. It's hardly a moral decision. LOL I'm personally not going to lose any sleep at night bec...
What type of audio connection do you have? One common problem is where some folks are using hdmi and rca audio for surround sound. In which case the tv volume will have to turned down or else there will be an echo in the audio.
Many thanks for all the replies. I will go ahead and order another player... hard to watch my netflix these days because everyone else has beat me to it before I get home Cheers everyone
Thinking of adding a second XD player. Wondering who has at least a 10mbps connection and running two players and what the performance is. Would love to add a second to the bedroom and I am certain they will be running at the same time on most nights. Anyone running two? How do they work for you? Th...
Not sure about your set up but it is also important to take note that cordless home telephones are an issue. If you have a cordless phone in close proximity of your router it can affect connection between your router and roku.....especially during extended idle times. Another important thing is to n...
Checked Koldcast out last night. One of the better channels I have seen in a while. Bikini contests were Thanks to all that were involved in developing this channel...
I just got an rca splitter with a male end that plugs into the roku box and then has 2 female ends which plug into the stereo on one and the tv on the other. I am getting a bad echo like the tv is maybe processing the sound a little behind the stereo. Any thoughts on this? I wonder how its going to...
I feel your pain.....i cannot understand why the connection gets dropped. Sometimes i can repeat the setup and reconnect...other times i have to reboot the player and re run the guided set up. Just cannot understand why this is...
Just had a question about wireless connectivity. Is it a normal thing for the roku to drop connection after extended idle times? I have had the box for about six weeks now and notice that most of the time i will have to repeat the set up to reconnect. Cat5 is not possible because the wife hates wire...
Am I missing something on why this feature is not currently in place ? Please correct me if I have overlooked a technical observation. I can't speak for roku, but I suspect allowing users to run different versions of the firmware, current situation not withstanding, would make for a support nightma...
Have you tried a hard reboot of the player? (Unplug unit wait a few seconds and plug back in) Had a few issues myself....this corrected the issue. If that does not work, unplug power from modem, router and roku. Reboot each device starting with the modem, then the router, then your roku. Hope you ge...
