Re: UK tv in US

No, just the BBC Worldwide News channel. Netflix and Hulu Plus have some UK shows, I subscribed to Hulu Plus initially just to get Misfits. The UK Roku's have the iplayer channel, hopefully that'll come to the US at some point, I'd be more than happy to pay for it. There may be a way to watch UK cha...

Re: UK Owners sign in

I've emailed the BBC requesting an iplayer Roku channel for folks outside the UK, I emailed BBCiPlayer@BBC.com. If anyone has a better contact email please let me know.

Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

New version available - V 1.24.6 Besides a few fixes, this version now supports episodes when using nfo files with ThumbGen. You will need to use a ThumbGen episode sheet (as opposed to a normal movie sheet) for each episode. You should get V1.24.6 automatically within 24 hours, or you can enter an...

Re: UK Owners sign in

As a Brit in the US with 3 Roku's, it's exciting to hear there's an iPlayer Roku channel. Obviously it doesn't mean we'll see it in the US channel store any time soon, but it's progress :-)

Re: Ameba Channel---Kids

I know I've mentioned this before but this is where roku really outshines cable and satellite-- when you have a question or a concern and the program provider answers like this-- not a form letter or talking to a customer service rep who must pass the message along to the higher ups but straight an...

Re: Roku xds, play videos from NAS???

On a side note, my NAS is a Synology 710+ and I have dlink dir655 router. Roksbox is easy to use with a Synology NAS, just click 'Enable web station' to turn on the webserver; Then create a .htaccess file to enable directory listing. There's info here: http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&...

Re: Netflix "Just For Kids" interface?

Come on, Wii got netflix "just for kids" sometime ago...so what is going on with roku? are they slow on catching up? I thought roku and netflix were flesh and blood (or they were). Roku was the original netflix player :( Thanks for the info, I hadn't heard that. Looks like it was the end ...

I think what Gilgamesh said is correct, can you confirm what you have in the Roksbox settings?

Re: Roksbox Not Finding Videos

You should post in the Roksbox thread, it's very active with lots of people to help you. But back to your issue, what do you mean you pointed it at c:/videos? Can you tell me what the directory structure is you see in chrome? If one of the folders you see in chrome is videos, then in the Roksbox med...

Re: MKV, fully working?

:D I just tested streaming MKV files via network and they play just fine over http using a channel like Roksbox that supports it. It plays just as well as if it were on local USB. As I said before about MKV playback, the Roku2 is slow when seeking in files, but I haven't noticed any other issues wi...

Re: MKV, fully working?

Now all we need to do is wait for the 4.2 update. See the first announcement at the top of the forum. Sorry, what I meant(or would have wanted to say) was "all we need to do is get the 4.2 update". Then try out an .MKV file to see it it works flawlessly. As for me, I tried checking ...

Re: USB Channel compatible units

I have an XD model thinking of upgrading. Are All Roku with a USB port able to use the USB Channel? (Regardless of vintage?) Yes, except that the Roku 2 file type support is slightly different to that of older Rokus. Roku 1 supported file types Roku 2 supported file types Is WLAN streaming on any o...
