Re: [Private Channel] TV.com (TVCOM)

I have a new Roku, the $59.99 one. My TV.COM audio runs about 30 seconds off. I deleted all but a few channels and restarted. I have a basic tv on 4:3 and standard sound. Is there any fix for this? Most shows I watch are on CBS. I can't use PlayOn because my computer processor is too slow. Please l...

Re: Crackle Updated

I watched "The DaVinci Code" last evening, and while I eventually got through it, it stopped several times throughout and went back to the "play" screen." Sometimes I just had to click 'resume' but other times I had to restart at the beginning and FF back to where I was, whi...

Re: IndyCar

IndyCar.com no longer has message boards!! Message boards probably aren't the best way to get the information to them - plenty of companies never read them. You should contact the company directly via their offices (either by email or telephone). I can't be sure, but I hear actual paper lett...

Re: IndyCar

I would prefer to put requests on IndyCar directly, not Versus. IndyCar could change their network affiliation at any time (they were on ESPN and are still on ABC sometimes). Also, while Versus IndyCar coverage has indeed been quite good, they are owned by Comcast, and in addition to the factor of a...

Re: NAS to stream video w/o a seperate computer

I have a Western Digital MyBook World Edition blue ring version NAS, which runs a lighttdp server out of the box. Some very minor hacking that I found described somewhere on this forum enabled me to expose any directory I wanted to Roksbox directly. It worked fine, but since few of my videos were in...

Re: IndyCar

I am a big fan of IndyCar racing. Most of their races are broadcast on Versus . I do however, refuse to pay for cable just to watch these races. All I want are these races or possibly just the Versus channel. Is there anyway to see these via my Roku player? Please, any help would be appreciated. Ye...

Re: AT&T to implement DSL caps

Can they institute caps on people who are in a contract? I would think that would violate the terms under which the contract was signed, does anyone know? Part of the contract says they can change the contract. Really. I don't know AT&T's wording but USUALLY when contracts says stuff like...

NickNixon just was making a statement never said I was perfect, if I can't express my opinion here what good is the form. Did someone tell you you couldn't express your opinion here? Or did someone just post their opinion of your opinion? That's what make a public forum. If you want to state your o...

Re: NetFlicks

Yeah, it was a fair gesture. Obviously, if you were set on streaming a movie during that time, you probably suffered more than the few cents worth of disappointment, but since NF has never guaranteed 100% up time, it's nice that they did anything. If my DSL goes out for the better part of a work day...

Re: Can I stream a DVD to the Roku (from a networked device)

As to why any one would want this, I back up my DVDs as ISOs to a NAS. I'd love for this to be a feature in the regular VLC Win32 package, as I could then watch my entire collection from any TV in the house, without needing any extra hardware or software. But mostly, yes, it's a neat hack. One more ...

Re: AT&T to implement DSL caps

Almost all of the questions were about me...income, ethnicity, ... That alone would cause me to throw it in the trash. While what I have connected to the net isn't any of their business, my income and ethnicity sure as flower isn't. Actually, while I don't mind in principle a company surveying it's...

Re: AT&T to implement DSL caps

THAT question, is the real reason this "survey" was sent, in my opinion. Roku was listed, along with all the others, and I checked the box, "none". Even if you're right about the reason for the survey (and I wouldn't bet against you) you may be shooting yourself in the foot with...

Re: Setup to Record?

But if you are talking about public domain content why wouldn't you just find a copy and download it? Streaming would be one of the last ways I would want to use to obtain content. I'm not talking about any specific content, but as one of several possible answers: The same reason you might watch it...
