The SoundBridge can be configured to reconnect to the last station (or music server) it was playing when it was powered down or put to standby. It also retries if the connection somehow got lost.
thanks for your suggestion, I'll keep that in mind and see how to implement that in a way that doesn't confuse users who only have one or two SoundBridges...
David, this seems to me the wrong place to complain, you bought a Pinnacle SoundBridge and therefore Pinnacle should be the addressee of your complaints. Roku has always (at least as far as I remember) clearly stated, that Pinnacle SBs only "connect" to iTunes libraries if you use Firefly....
Goana, You could try to manually configure the IP settings of your SoundBridge. If you don't enter the address for "default gateway", you effectively block the way to the Internet. Mind you, I didn't try this myself (as I listen to Internet Radio very often), so I don't know whether this c...
You have to point Firefly to the folder where your iTunes library file is stored. I suppose you configured Firefly to D:\Lossless Music, which gives you access to your music files but not to your playlists as these are stored in the library file. Change this and you'll see your playlists as well. Fe...
You seem to be using a Pinnacle branded SoundBridge, which have never been and will not be able to connect to iTunes (regardless of iTunes or firmware versions) due to licensing issues. Firefly is the answer - and a very lightweight and high-performance one too.
Although I doubt you'll find an easy solution for your "problem", here's the correct url for the file you're looking for http://www.rokulabs.com/downloads/Developers_resource_sb_downloads/RCP_Spec_2.0.pdf (there's just an excessive "." at the end of the "wrong" url) If ...
Hmm... Does a reboot of your SoundBridge cure the problem? I never had any problems using Firefly, maybe someone in the Firefly section of this forum can help you. Actually, the developer is the moderator of that section... Did you consider upgrading your SoundBridge to the 2.7 firmware? That might ...
Well, although your laptops work flawlessly, it might be worth a try, because, if problem goes away when you're connected via cable, we know where to look further. Also, I don't suppose you use your laptops in the *exact* same location your SB sits. Radio interference and the like tend not to be eas...
Did you ever try a *wired* connection between SoundBridge and your router? Maybe your wireless connection is unstable causing the symptoms you describe. I use my SB M500 almost daily (often for many hours) with a wired connection. Problems are extremely seldom in my setup and often caused by Interne...
Lursay, I'm afraid, you will have to install Windows on your Mac in order to use SB-sync. That's a small tool I wrote for Windows to backup and later restore your presets to a file. Thus, if you ever loose your presets again (p.ex., by boorting to safe mode) - no problem, just restore them and you'r...
