Shoutcast streams continuously re-buffer

My M500 Soundbridge is playing the WFUV .pls file flawlessly, but when I try any Shoutcast stream (Club977 80's, Techno, or Bollywood), they all re-buffer continuously and won't play at all. It seems that I can now only play non-Shoutcast streams. Also, this problem started when I switched from Veri...

thanks!

hey, i got it now, thanks to your help. i'm typing in "telnet <ip> 4444" in a Win 98 dos prompt. this results in a Win 98 telnet window popping up. Thanks to your suggestion, i was able to click the Terminal/Preferences in the menu bar and get a Preferences dialog in which i could increase the Buffe...

help on telnet

when i type "?" from a telnet session to the M500, the first few commands scroll off the top of my telnet window - i'm using a DOS window on Win 98. How can i see 'all' of the commands without them scrolling past me?

thanks,
js.

Better plastic end-caps

One of the plastic tabs on my left big, black, plastic end-cap broke off, after removing it no more than four or five times (during the course of debugging wifi vs. wired ethernet, etc.). I have an M500. Now, if the one remaining plastic tab breaks off, there's nothing to hold the right end-cap on e...

Sleep Timer

i request a 'sleep timer' function, like on a TV. it needs only four settings accessible by one 'sleep timer' button on the remote that cycles through the following: 90 min 60 min 30 min off i listen to the M500 every night as i go to sleep, so would like it to turn itself off after a programmable t...

mine still working only intermittently :(

hi,
well, glad u figured out your problem, but my problem is still there :(
btw, my Westell Versalink router/switch/modem/WAP works fine with two machines on my LAN - it's just the Roku M500 that strangly causes it to reboot after running for only a couple of minutes...

What value does the SoundBridge provide??

Hi, What value does the SoundBridge really provide? I mean, I can connect my laptop directly to my stereo to play both mp3 files and internet radio. So what does the SoundBridge really give you that you don't already have? FYI, I have the M500 and bought it for the convenience of listening to intern...

Having problem connecting to radio stations...

I'm seeing the following 'strange' behavior with the M500 - can you explain it? I have two machines on my 4-port ethernet switch: a Win 98 laptop and the M500 SoundBridge. the ethernet switch is integrated with a router and wireless access point, and the router is connected to my DSL service (it's a...

ok, thanks. But this still begs the question: if Roku's 802.11b interface is supposed to be 'compatible' with my WAP's 802.11g interface, why doesn't the Roku M500 work with my .11g access point? In other words, has anybody else seen this 'compatibility' problem, and what does Roku say about it? Doe...

Is my M500 802.11b or 802.11g?

How can I tell if my M500's WiFi card is .11b or .11g? The Roku box says it's compatible with both, but I'm having problems with the WiFi connection, using the Westell Versalink Model 327W "DSL Modem/Ethernet Switch/Router/WAP" that Verizon ships with its DSL service in Washington, DC. Using WiFi ch...
