It doesn't look like there's anything we can do to get these Clear Channel stations like KFI for now. Perhaps, as they begin to realize all the people listening on non-computer devices, like Rokus, Sonos, Recivas, Squeezeboxes, various smartphones and other devices, they'll get smart like CBS did, a...

WRVA is one of many U.S. stations owned by the Clear Channel company that recently changed its streaming protocol to restrict access to their proprietary pop-up player on a computer. They're using a changing digital key technology, wherein a new digital key is assigned at each use and must apparentl...

Does it improve if you temporarily move your Soundbridge right next to your router? How much do your signal strength and quality/noise figures on the SB change among those two locations? They also sell add-on/replacement directional antennas for routers that might improve your router signal in the d...

Read on another board that all of these Clear Channel stations now use some kind of "digital key" which is newly activated in their pop-up player each time you use it. It's intended to force you to use only their pop-up player to view the advertising associated with it. Without the digital...

A small development in the situation involving the CBS "Stream The World" station feeds. When using the popup flash player on a computer, you can toggle back and forth between 32 kbps and 64 kbps streams, so clearly they have high and low bandwidth streams available. Found out today that (...

WBT is playing fine on my SoundBridge, using the following url from the Radio Roku database:
http://wmc1.liquidcompass.cc/wbt

So is WBZ, using http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/ ... DIALUP.pls

Don't really know what to say. Do you have the most recent SoundBridge firmware upgrade?

I've noticed a few of these as well. One possibility is that the station is either blacking-out commercials, due to contractual requirements, causing a minute or two of silence, before the main program comes back on. Another possibility is that certain programs in their entirety are prohibited from ...

One more thing I forgot to add - all of these CBS "Stream The World" stations can now be heard on our SoundBridges by simply substituting the call letters of the station and the "AM" or "FM" part of the overall url. For some stations, however, sometimes these two genera...

Many CBS radio stations have been switching over to a flash player streaming protocol called "Stream The World." The previous audio feed url for WWJ is now obsolete, replaced by the following: http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/asx/WWJAMDIALUP.asx http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com...

Just a bump to inquire whether anyone has found out why these feeds play fine on computers (using Windows Media Player and Real Player), but won't play on our SoundBridges. One of the other boards I follow has been actively discussing these stations and their urls lately. I counted 104 of these CBS ...

In case it's helpful, I also have a Treo 700p, and in lieu of trying to update the driver, I bought a 4GB SD (non-HD) card that works fine in the Treo; perhaps it might work fine in the SoundBridge Radio as well (haven't tried it myself yet - I'll try to check that out shortly). http://www.newegg.co...
