One other point. Is there an easy way to allow me to edit the .conf file? I am not a linux person but was able to add .wma to the configuration line. However, I had to do this using vi, a linux editor that I really am not sure what I am doing when I use it. I can open the file with Wordpad on Window...

I just installed the latest nightly (svn-1197). I also have 2 servers showing up on my SB M2000. The SB says: Play slug_of_mark Firefly Server and Play slug_of_mark Firefly Server (rsp). So, the second one is the one to use, right? My other problem is that it doesn't seem to pick up wma lossless. I ...

It is a shame that you are no longer carrying the M2000. The larger display size is fantastic for us folks who are middle-aged and cannot see the M1000 display from across the room.

Please reconsider, I think you are missing a market opportunity!

I am using an NSLU2 with Unslung and mt-daapd. Works great with MP3s, but I am anxiously awaiting a lossless solution.

I have an M1001 and an M2000, excellent devices!

OK, so I went into the NSLU2 with telnet, did the cd /share/hdd/data followed by a mkdir mp3. The folder now shows up in windows explorer but I cannot copy files into it. Getting Access is Denied in the mp3 folder. I can however, write to it from the NSLU2, eg I was able to create a sub folder in th...

OK, now I am stuck with the following. On my Windows workstation Disk! has no sub folders. Help? From your workstation connect to the default network share 'DISK 1' on your NSLU2. Go into the folder "public". You might know that this relates to the folder /share/hdd/data/public. In "public" create a...

Don't have twonky, but making progress. I reformatted the HDD which was NTFS, now it is EXT3. Unslung was successful. I then ran ipkg update and you can see there are some errors, especially host name lookup failure. I cannot ping nslu2-linux.org as well. ??? LKG7DC864 login: root Password: No direc...

I tried those instructions, and here is my problem. When I get to Step 11: In the telnet session, run "/sbin/unsling" I enter /sbin/unsling disk2, and I get: Checking if able to unsling... Waiting for /share/flash/data ... There is a number that counts down from 120 to 1 and then I get the message: ...

Soundbridge and Linksys NSLU2

I want to control my 1001 with an NSLU2. I was able to reflash the linksys with unslung 6.8 beta and can telnet into it, but now I am lost.

I am running XP and know nothing about Linux.

Is there an easy step-by-step?
