Well, "competing" the Squeezebox certainly not is, as its not comparable in terms of technology. I also use a Pinnacle Showcenter 200, which is comparable from the technological point of view. It serves as a UPnP client as well as another propietary streaming protocol. There are various se...

Glad it worked out for you in the end. Mind to share with other folks what nightly version you are using now that seems to work fine? The "stable release" was dubbed as such by the guys at RoKu. The re is in fact no "stable release" that is 100% foolproof and functional. But Ron ...

On a M1000 and M2000 yes, but not on Radio's and M1001 units. The newer ones use a inferior output that always resamples to 48kHz, even the digital output. So only for 48kHz digital multichannel output, that would work on all units. The setting to "pass multichannel audio" is only a legacy...

You can get a universal adaptor in Europe for about 10 Euros. This is something I'd buy once and keep with me all the time when Im travelling. Hotels and the likes have many of these adaptors and they will lend them to their guests for free, too. So that should bridge the gap until you can get one f...

Just a adaptor will do. Almost all PSUs can do with the 230V /50Hz used throughout europe.
IF you are travelling to other countries in europe however, be aware that the plugs differ. The voltage doesnt.

you'll want the real utilities like wget, curl, ps, top, etc then just install 'unix-utils' that provide many of these.

Naturally that conflicts with busybox-links, so get rid of that ipkg while you still can ;)

It is just a workaround setting for some digital receivers that would not accept the digital signal otherwise.

Shuffle in Radio 3.0?

My Soundbridge updated to the latest 3.0 software this morning. I've been enjoying a smart playlist on shuffle off my firefly's for the past 2 hours. I couldn't stop noticing that the shuffle behaviour has changed. Now the Soundbridge seems to stick to a certain Artist or Album when Shuffling. The c...

Try to use other formats than MP3, especially losless formats.
The spectrum analyzer isn't necessarily proof for bad sound quality.

How is your SoundBridge connected to your audio equipment?

There is actually.
RoKu has coded support for a few shortcuts in their devices, but their remotes dont make use of it.
There is a list somewhere in the SDK section on this site.

IIRC "Browse Artists" is a direct shourtcut, for instance.
