This clearly seems like a Router issue.
Either there are problems with multicast/unicast packets which are not ebing received / forwarded properly, or the router itself is just buggy.
Slightly off topic, but I dont want to open a new thread. I recently got a Onkyo Receiver, and find the programmable Onkyo remote that came with it very handy. While I can control my DVD player and TV with some stock-codes that came with it, there are no such codes for the Soundbridge. I was wonderi...
Just to confirm a bit more: when we set the software schedule recently for 2.7 and beyond, I read through that entire feature request forum. Took me all day. I compiled the most-requested features into a list, and that list was used in weighing the priorities of features to be developed (along with...
<sidenote> I dont want to get too technical, but WLAN (at least that from RoKu's units) do send on the exact same frequency as micro-wave ovens. Those exist for quite some time already. While cellular phones operate in different frequency (although within a near spectrum) you are comparing apples an...
Given the fact that firefly can run on embedded devices like the NSLU2, which sport an even weaker CPU and less RAM, that really shouldn't be the problem. I suspect there are problems with Apple's Bonjour and/or multicasts. How are both PCs connected to the soundbridge? Wired, wireless? with a route...
You cannot keep your data in /share/hdd/data. you have to keep them in share/hdd/date/music for instance. then just change the mp3_dir to that, and you're fine. as for 'joe' do a: ipkg inst all joe and there you go. vi is kinda hard for guys not used to *IX ;) to "move" files and/or folder...
The Soundbridge lacks a "gateway" information. Either your Router isnt set up correctly to transmit this info - check your routers web config page. It's IP should be 192.168.1.1, under "basic setup" and DHCP options should be 4 fields for the "default gateway", this sho...
