Setting Cookies from roVideoScreen?

So I noticed that roVideoScreen supports the ifHttpAgent, which allows you to call the function EnableCookies(). I'm trying to get a Cookie-based token authorization system working. It works where the initial request for a stream includes a secure Token. The response from the CDN server sets a coupl...

Re: HLS cookie support

I also need this.

I noticed that we can call EnableCookies on roVideoScreen now. However, even when doing so, it still doesn't seem to set the cookies that were returned from the server. Any ideas?

Re: Need help with Roku2 HLS : error 403

I realize it's been quite a while, but I wanted to follow up on this. On my basic roVideoScreen object, I enabled cookies by setting screen.EnableCookies(). To my understanding, every HTTP request made by the roVideoScreen will then be able to receive any cookies that were set by the server and then...

1080p graphics support

Hello, Typically we prepare splash images in 1280x720 for HD and 720x480 for SD (0.91 PAR). Since Roku also supports 1080p, do we need to create the splash image in 1080p now? Similarly, how does this affect the overhang banner? Typically I made it 1280 pixels wide. But of 1080 is supported, do I ne...

RGB color space - how to achieve in Photoshop?

I make several channels where the logos have pure blacks and whites in them. As I understand it, the colors must be between 16 and 235. 1. Is this true for HD and SD? 2. Does anyone have instructions for converting graphics to this color space automatically in Photoshop? I'm working with the latest ...

Just wanted to follow up on my previous question:

"Okay, so we need to specify an external TTML file, and Roku doesn't support embedded TTML in Smooth or HLS?"

Re: HLS Troubleshooting

We use an live stream encoder that publishes HLS to a CDN. For streams with variant playlists, sometimes the #EXT-X-MEDIA-SEQUENCE number in each of the variants get out of sync with one another. I'm working on this with the encoder developers, but they've told me that it is not part of the HLS spec...

Re: UPDATE v2.0 Google Analytics Page View and Event Trackin

I integrated Universal Analytics instead which is much much easier than trying to piece together what Classic Analytics is expecting. Universal Analytics has a new Measurement Protocol that is specifically used for stuff like tracking third party application within code, like the Roku.

Swapping out screenshots

I want to swap out screenshots for a channel. I've already done so, and when I view the channel in the web store, it has the updated screen shots. I did not need to republish the application. However, the client is saying that they are still seeing an older screenshot. I confirmed it is not there fo...
