Re: Why do SBRadios die?

That is correct.
I had one of the first SB Radios (I think from 2006) running here for years and a few months ago I removed the PSU. It was OK, but I was worried if it dies that it kills one of the amps. And this unit was all the time really off power when not in use.

Re: PSU Dissected for Repair

Reinhard,

did you try removing one the 3 amplifier connectors from the main board to find out if one of the digital amplifiers causes the problems?

Re: Squeezebox Joins SoundBridge

My biggest fear is that the radio database will be shut down. This will effectively destroy half of the Soundbridge's usefulness. Fortunately the SoundBridge is not depending on Radio Roku to play internet radio. For further detail please see this "Sticky" . I know that and I have filled ...

Re: Squeezebox Joins SoundBridge

My biggest fear is that the radio database will be shut down. This will effectively destroy half of the Soundbridge's usefulness. My hope is that the success the company is having with video streaming devices will keep the company alive for a long time. 46jimbo, I agree in 100% all you wrote. I hav...

Re: Help with radio station

Dupondt, I was sure it has something to do with the router, but I changed nothing in the router config. But yesterday I saw that the router (german Telekom) updated its firmware automatically one week ago and lost some parts of its settings including the port forwardings. After reconfiguring the rou...

Re: Help with radio station

Dupondt, thanks for your fast answer. I checked both URLs again today. No chance. No Jack FM. All other stations work. I checked: M1000 Software 3.0.44 M2000 Software 3.0.49 R1000 Software 3.0.44 IP configuration from DHCP OK as always, I switched to static IP. Same result: Everything works fine, bu...

Help with radio station

Hello, I am listening to Germany's Jack FM all the time but since a few days my Soundbridge does not play the stream. I wonder why. The have the URL for the MPEG stream: http://tuner.jackfm.de:80 Winamp says: Server: SHOUTcast Distributed Network Audio Server/Linux v1.9.8 audio/mpeg and http://80.23...

Re: Soundbridge Cannot Connect to Internet With Wireless Bri

I had the same problem some time ago when connecting an M2000 to a wireless bridge. I took the M2000, connected it to the my router directly and entered a static IP address, DNS... (using telnet, search the forum for a description link). Moreover it was necessary to assign a static IP address and IP...

Re: Duplicate MAC address

Just to complete this discussion - the UniqueId is NOT the MAC address of the network interface. It is initially the same as the MAC but after you change it, the MAC remains the same as it was. The UniqueId is just for RadioRoku./ted 100% correct but: If you set the unit back to factory defaults th...

Re: PSU Dissected for Repair

Well, for diagnostic purposes, I do connect a suitable 12v@3a supply as follows: Positive to red/blue and negative to black(2) + white shield. If the radio powers up, you're good to go. As a long term solution, I'm not sure this is the best solution. The 9v supply should be able to handle 12v input...

Re: PSU Dissected for Repair

That's bad news. Sometimes if a PSU dies it kills one or more of the amp boards, very very bad.
Maybe you ask one of the radio gurus here if they have a subw amp as spare...
