Re: Screenshot Resolution not the same as currentDesignResolution

Sending 50% smaller files to my Users is another strong reason.

That is an excellent reason. My feeling is that the Roku does indeed do a fine job upscaling. Oddly, not quite as good downscaling though. I do mostly 2D API stuff so I see this all the time.
Cheers.

Re: Screenshot Resolution not the same as currentDesignResolution

I'm setting on HD, but the UI is rendering as FHD. Any suggestions?
I'm curious why you would want to render at 1280x720 on a 1920x1080 screen.

submission notification on private channel

I'm now getting both submission notification emails  - "Thank you for submitting your channel"  and "Channel published!"  when updating a channel which is under development. Is there a good reason for this? Between this and having to do the Captcha twice it's like Roku is just tr...

That's a pretty big improvement over crashing immediately.

I'd guess the color should be in this format  "0x000000".

 rowLabelFont="BarlowCondensed-Medium">

Shouldn't this have "pkg:/etc." in front of it?

If you're asking me,  It only needs to be in one place. I don't use the xml file, so for me everything is in the .brs file.

Re: Using custom fonts (.ttf files) in XML

font  = CreateObject("roSGNode", "Font")
      font.uri = "pkg:/images/optima.otf"
      font.size = 42
      font.color="0xFFFFFFFF"

I don't use the xml but this works fine in the  init() function in my .brs file.

Re: Ability to Dim the Roku's Screen?

2. You can certainly do this, but It doesn't look like a dimmed screen, it looks like you put something over it. why not? cover it with black at certain alpha and that will darken the screen, no? talking w/o thought much but seems doable. since linear may not play well with gamma correction but if ...

Re: Setting roSGScene object on global

I'm assuming that this works in your channel right now and you are asking about the future. SceneGraph is relatively new, so there's that, but Roku is pretty slow to remove things from the firmware. You're always at their mercy anyway, so if it was me I'd go with it and worry about it when it breaks...

If you are supporting other languages, then the manifest in the Locale/en_US folder needs to be changed.

The password needs to be the one that was used to create the  .pkg file you are re-keying from, not your current password.

Did you get the "Thanks for submitting your channel" email when you submitted it?  If you did I wouldn't worry.

Re: Certifying channel question

The ID is assigned when you create the channel on the web portal. So yes, you will know as soon as it is submitted.
