Re: Feed Issue, no videos showing up (Newbie)

Bigmike333 and all others with this problem... For my unpublished (test) channel, I do, in fact, rename my feed file each time I make a change because I want my changes reflected immediately.  I use Amazon's CloudFront caching and if I don't rename the file (ie. I use the same name), the changes are...

Re: Reporting stats not updating

Go to 'View Analytics' from your Manage Channels page.  If you click the link for "Filter", you will be able to change some filtering criteria for the report including "Time Period".

Re: NEW! Json Feed Manager 2019 Windows Desktop Software

The software installs a Samples folder that contains a working example of importing a Comma Separated Value file (csv).
You cannot merge a .csv into a .json.  However, you can import the .csv to create a .json, and, merge it with an existing .json file.

More info is available on our website.

Re: Feed Issue, no videos showing up (Newbie)

Today, I updated my Json feed for my test channel (unpublished).  It took longer than normal to update, but, it worked.  And, when I opened the channel on my device, I did not receive any errors.  The new videos were all available. I mention this because I don't know if the Roku problem is officiall...

Re: Genre Invalid or Missing

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to help you.  I don't have any experience with S3Bubble.  I'd also caution you against getting locked into any form of subscription service for your channel.  Especially one that does not provide enough help to guide you through creating your channel.  There are other...

Re: Genre Invalid or Missing

What are you using to build your feed file?  You need to use that tool to add a 'genre' object (as shown in the Json Spec) to your feed file.  As for the Series object, you should continue to define it, or, remove it.  Does that make it clear?

Re: Genre Invalid or Missing

What you show is a Json feed file.  According to the Roku Json spec , a Movie object must contain a 'genre' object.  Take a look at the Movie section in the spec and you'll see an example of a genre object.  Additionally, you have an empty Series object.  It's never a good idea to have empty objects...

Re: JSON file length maximum

I seem to remember the following limitations for DP. 25 rows of 40 "items". Where, an "item" is not necessarily one video. It can be a series of videos. There's no limit on the physical size of the feed file. The Roku partner site details these limitations.

From your description, you may be a victim of the Roku bug others have reported last week on this forum. Check the previous posts for more info.

Re: Feed Issue

Do you still need help with this?  It appears that the file you posted as a sample does not match the file at your URL.  It appears that the file at the URL is correct.

Re: Feed Issue, no videos showing up (Newbie)

Not sure that's accurate. I have an unpublished channel that I use to test my published channel and it works fine. There must be more factors involved than it being simply an unpublished channel. Maybe it has something to do with the date a channel was submitted.

Have you tried the channel on another Roku device?
Have you made sure the server permissions are correct?
