chackett, From the logs I see that MPlay cannot find the PID for the audio stream when it begins playing the movie. (Audio PID = 0). After the first [info][info] it doesn't find it either. It looks like the second [info][info] had better luck, finding Audio PID=2177. It sounds to me that the file ha...

Where can I get this demo at 24Mbps? I would like to try it. Also, and I hate to be the one asking this question because I do not want in any way for anyone to think that I don't completely love mplay, but.... A lot of new devices are supporting full DVD menu navigation and support. Is there any po...

The bitrate shown my MPlay is a very rough bitrate estimation. In constant bitrate files, the number may start higher and then get to its correct value. In variable bitrate files, well, it will vary. A second or so after a "jump" (FF, REW), the number will be the most off, thowards the high side. Th...

If MPlay gets to create the .Mplay file for the VOB you are playing, then the chapter info will be already there, so even if you remove the .IFO, chapters should still work MPlay creates the .MPlay file when you start playing a file and stop/switch to another/exit. The file system must not be read-o...

I'm glad you link MPlay.
MPlay does remember the zoom mode. The mounted drive where the movie is must be writable by the HD1k for it to work, though.
We need to add audio-track memory.

Hi Ed,

I'm on vacation and away from my HD1k. WHen I get back, I'd like to get a chunk of the problem file, so I can see if I understand what is happening.
Since I may forget, can you PM me around Jan 5th? Thanks,

For the MPlay version, look at the main menu, if enabled, or the date of the MPlay.app file.

Hi tlrowley, Oh, this is not your fault! The HD1K is picking up the pan-and-scan info embedded in the stream and using that as frame size. It doesn't even do a good job at that, as it keeps the pan-scan box all the way to the left. I notified RokuDon of this problem, but I'm not sure if he passed th...

dvr-ms seems to be an asf-encapsulated MPEG2 stream.
ffmpeg knows how to demux it, so it is doable.
The thing is that I don't have the time to get this to work.
For now, you may have to settle for the 5-min conversion.

According to RokuDon, there are some tweaks to the decoder chip that are not available on the SDK yet that control de-interlacing. I too see the jagies you mention on video-sourced material. I'm outputing 1080i, and my display doesn't have 3:2 pull-down. Maybe Roku will give us access to the enhance...

May I ask why are you using swap on a rev B? I don't use swap most of the time on my Rev A! Linux is like a gas, it expands to occupy all available space. Notice that you have 7M of buff. I bet that is what grows a lot. Here is what mine says. I have a 'lite' /etc/inittab 3:39pm up 15 min, 1 user, l...
