Re: Legacy SDK Deprecation Question

Yes, that is correct. Your channel will still "live" and continue functioning after Jan 1, 2019. The components will not be removed from the firmware on that date. To Destruk's point, though, those components have been deprecated for close to two years now, and Roku has not been investing ...

Re: Conflicts using rsg_version=1.2 before OS 9?

To be clear, your channel will not see any performance enhancements if it uses the manifest flag on pre-9.0 firmware. There is no reason to use the flag on pre-9.0 firmware. When uploading a channel that includes the flag, be sure to set the minimum firmware version to 9.0 through the Developer Dash...

Re: Cannot 'Submit' .pkg after successful upload

It looks like you're using our legacy channel publishing tool. You can access the current channel publishing flow by logging into your account at developer.roku.com/developer , clicking on Manage My Channels, and either creating a new channel or updating an existing channel. You can find a step-by-s...

Re: how to get stream video resolution?

The width and height are set in the XML of the Video node — https://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc/Video

Regarding your StackOverflow question about padding, it'd also be good just to verify that the video streams themselves do not have any padding.

Re: Unknown Error - Loading JSON feed

The schema you're following doesn't seem to accord to our feed specifications. In particular, you do not need to create a movie object at the beginning of every content object.

Try revising that and see if it fixes any errors. This should be an unrelated issue though...

Re: Live stream

We do not currently have a mediaType for live streams, but we have identified this as a potential feature addition in the future. In the meantime, live videos will still play in a Direct Publisher channel, there will just be no designation within the channel UI that indicates that the stream is liv...
