Options for Using a USB Extenal Drive?

I purchased my first Roku about a week ago and have really been enjoying it, already up to 4 in the house. At home I use my Synology server to feed the Plex Channel on my Roku. I just bought a Roku 2 to travel with, I have all of my movies and music on a USB drive that I take with me when I travel. ...

Start on Channels?

New to the Roku, about a week ago I bought my first Roku to replace a Popcorn Hour and I love it. I love it so much I already have 4 in the house. One thing that I am wondering is if it is possible to go directly to the channels screen? Not a big deal but 99% of the time we use the Roku for the chan...

I use a Synology Server (212J) and we are in the process of returning the MyCloud and replacing their server with a Synolog...

Re: Roku 2 with No Internet for Travel

Thanks Dale. Just so I know what to expect on my upcoming trip I am assuming it will look for an internet connection, when it doesn't find one or I don't want to use one what do I do?

3 Rokus with Different Setups?

Just got a Roku 2 yesterday morning, liked it so much I went out and bought a second yesterday afternoon :) When I set up the second one it replicated the channels on my first one which was very nice. Considering purchasing a 3rd for travel and may want a different set of channels on that one, is it...

Roku 2 with No Internet for Travel

Currently I use a Micca Spek when I travel to watch movies and listen to music. Recently I have purchased 3 Roku 2's to use in my home for watching movies, netflix, etc. When using my Micca I either use a USB stick or a portable hard drive for data. I am considering purchasing a Roku to replace my M...
