Re: *List of Netflix Watch Instantly movies about to expire*

I thought it'd be a good idea to start a running list of movies that are about to be pulled from Watch Instantly availability, so that anyone interested can catch'em before they're gone. Why would they remove movies from the Instant Watch list? They can't have more than 10,000 available at a time? ...

I don't see any cropping of "Bad Guy" on my PC or TV. What kind of monitor do you have on your PC? Took a closer look at the PC playback -- it was a misperception on my part. Though the subs are very low in the image, there isn't any cropping. The problem is TV-only, whether I use S-video...

I see this problem a lot on cheap indie movies, where actors often mumble lines in an attempt to evoke intimacy. Since movies are made with the theater environment in mind, there isn't much effort to avoid a wide dynamic range. The addition of some sort of limiter and/or booster for high and/or low ...

On La Notte I find the subtitles appear well within the boundaries of the image, and I have no problem with them. The subs appear so high up in the image, it's hard to imagine having a problem if the image wasn't noticeably cropped. If you have a windows PC, you should try viewing it in your browser...

If it's complex, I'm guessing that's due to the nature of the activation process and how the box stores and uses its activation code...and maybe it has a little to do with DRM Ah, well....see what you can do, I'm happy as it is, but my girlfriend is annoyed that I've filled her instant queue to the ...

At the outset, I never expected the "Instant Watch" service to launch and expand with so little downtime. If other recipients of the Roku box are making as much use of the thing as I am, the service has been slammed into high gear, with no apparent ill effect. Netflix has kept making all t...

A lot of opinions are spinning around about Roku's conduct wrt GPL and FSF's conduct wrt this board. All I know is my box is due to ship sometime next week. I'd hate to see shipment delayed due to an easily avoidable court case. If compliance with the GPL is so flower onerous, why use Free Software...

The player can only be activated to one account at a time. I'm not aware of any plans to allow it to activate with several accounts simultaneously I wouldn't expect such a feature enhancement because it's a pretty rare thing for people to want to do. My girlfriend and I have very different film tas...

One Box, Multiple Netflix accounts?

Can one box be activated for use with two different accounts? Or do you have to reset to switch? And is there a limit to how many times you can reset and switch accounts?

If not, any chance a future upgrade will allow multiple accounts using profiles, or some similar scheme?

Re: Player: The good and not so good

Found the remote control to be a little difficult to open to insert batteries. Luckily I don't have long nails or it would have been impossible. I'll second that, especially since my dexterity has been impaired by stroke. Nrver tried the component connection, no reason to if you have HDMI on the TV...

Re: Lied to about shipping date

I ordered early on Tuesday morning. Called Wednesday to check status. They assured me that they had enought units to cover my order in their original batch. Never got a shipped email. I called this morning, they told me the same again. I pushed them about if they actually had units still in the war...

Re: Internet connection lost during Netflix player stream

My Netflix box is accessing the internet wirelessly through a D-Link DIR-655 router. I usually get 4 dots when streaming, and there’s no problem if the computers that can also access the router are turned off. If I turn a computer on, the light on the front of the Netflix box starts flashing...
