I tried depressing the reset button for over 30 seconds and it reset the box but didn't fix the problem. I have a Belkin F5D7230-4 Router. It is up to date with the firm ware. When I check the router's LAN > DHCP client list once the Roku box is powered up, it shows the Roku, with the correct MAC a...

What type of router do you have? If you are trying to connect via wireless, do you have all the settings right on both the router and the Roku? If you have MAC filtering turned ON in your router, you have to add the MAC of the Roku for it to connect. Your account may be locked to a particular MAC ad...

Well, I just tried the test. Tried to play, got 1 dot. Did a power cycle on the Roku, and let it boot back up. I have turned on playback debugging so I can see what is going on. When the Roku came back up, I selected the same movie, and it gave me 4 dots, and the message was playing 2.2 stream on yo...

I have 10 mbps download and TODAY has been the worst in my history of having the Roku. I have been getting only 1 dot with a CONFIRMED 10 mbps thru several download speed tests. I also got super traceroute tests to cdn.nflximg.com: Tracing route to netflix.vo.llnwd.net [208.111.168.6] over a maximum...

I'm having the same problem. I watched Sliders: Season 3 Episode 6 and got 4 dots until the last 5 minutes. It dropped to 2 dots. Right afterwards, I started Episode 7 and it only got 1 dot. I reset my router AND my cable modem AND the Roku. I got 4 dots for 10 seconds, and then it dropped to 1 dot....

I redo the network setup again and it gave me new activation code. Activated online and it's now working. I hope it doesn't keep doing it. I have had to reactivate my Roku 5 or 6 times since I got it in June. It's little more than a nuisance because it only takes about 1 minute. I have never had to...

For some reason, there is a duplicate IP address on your local network. Yes, you get your external IP dynamically from your ISP, but, your router hands out IP address on the local network. I'm not sure if you can give your wife's laptop a static address that is within the IP range of your local netw...

Mine is not completely blank, but, have you tried hitting the HOME key on the remote to see if that wakes it up?

You might also choose DISABLE SCREENSAVER in the settings menu.

I would have done a search if I could have decided what the best words would be ot enter into the search engine. Here goes: I have an old TV with only an antenna input. I use Charter communications. Do they have bandwidth caps? No way to really know. I and a CSR tell me I can download and watch as much live video as I want and they don't care. However, the AUP says: 13. NO EXCESSIVE USE OF BANDWIDTH If Charter determines, in Charter’s sole discretion, that C...

Here is another solution if your school requires you login via a webpage interface. Do you use a PC? If yes, you could install a 2nd network card in your PC and configure Internet Connection Sharing. Plug the first net card into your school's network and plug the 2nd network card into your Roku. ICS...

Linksys routers can be set up to connect automatically to PPPoE, and I'm fairly sure many other types of routers can be too. Connect your router and configure it PPPoE with your username and password. Then, plug your Roku into the router and your PC into the router. The router will handle keeping th...
