If we wanted to include a short intro video with the pkg, or extra graphics stored locally inside the package, or extra sounds in the package to speed along navigation through screens without needing to first download files to tmp or pull from a server, then the extra space would be appreciated. ie if you have a roku 2 XDS with a maximum package size of 20mb, then they could hold a variety of icons and sounds and videos and interactive help right there in the pkg which would load faster and update the screen quicker than pulling it all from a server online. I was thinking, if the app could do a version check and then determine which channel revision it should load, that would be great - but the roku won't allow a channel to be installed on it if it exceeds the maximum size for the hardware revision, meaning the version check from inside the channel itself would never be allowed to run.
