I wonder if anyone has considered turning the Roku firmware into a Raspberry Pi style application?
I already have a similar setup - VFD 2 line, 80 character display, a Pi 2, and use it as an internet radio device.
Its a bit of a kludge to set up, but it would be neat if Roku reworked it so the "firmware" was an app that would let us build our own versions of the SoundBridge.
Pi supports BT, 802.11n networking, WEP, etc., so it could be pretty awesome if it could be ported over.
Or at least someone could give the OK to let us try to duplicate it for a Pi-based SoundBridge clone... Hmm.
