Well, it would be nice but let's face it: This won't happen. Most companies don't like to do that. And as this company hasn't done it with the PhotoBridge they also wont with the now EOL SoundBridges. Simple fact.
Whenever it happens that a device develops a 2nd life through user development then it is usually through someone feeling tempted to hack into it and "open" it.
So our hope for that can only be based on such an approach.
