M500 "Hiccups"

Sat Jan 03, 2009 11:21 am

I have the M500 and it hiccups or goes quiet for one second when I turn on and off a bathroom exhause fan, open and close the microwave door or plug something in a wall socket. Does this make any sense?

Can you plug the M500 and the amp/receiver into a UPS and see if this solves the problem?

They are both plugged into a Surge Protector.

How is your M500 connected to the receiver?

I have seen a similar behavior with my M2000 when the SB was connected via the S/PDIF (coax) to the receiver. Once the connection was changed to S/PDIF (fiber optical) then the problem disappeared.

Mine is also connected via the Coax and that is when it started. I will check that. Thanks for you input.
