This sometimes occures to me to, once in a while the clock goes behind and the unit does not react on any form of command. It even sometimes happens while playing, and it continues playing !!! Only solution I know is power cycling.
Although it's always a good idea to check the power supply, I don't think this is a PSU related issue. I have experienced this problem with two M1001s attached to a high-quality Phihong PSU and connected to the network over Wi-Fi. Using a wired ethernet connection resolved the issue for me.

My SB is connected by wire and I've had this "sometimes freeze" problem for a log time. But, as it occurs in a very low frequency, like once every 4-8 weeks, I did not relate it to the SB at first ... Now the warranty and support is gone and it is too late ! I whish the source of the code would be available and the community could try to fix it ...
I have three M2000s and they all do this as well, not all that often. I can tell when it happens because they disappear from my network Simply unplugging from the mains and replugging fixes the problem.
