Make the M1001 play a mp3 thats on a webserver?

Sun Dec 15, 2013 6:54 am

Does anyone know if it's possible to make the M1001 play a mp3 file thats on a webserver?
I have tried making both m3u files and .pls files.. but no luck.. my pls looks like this;

[playlist]
NumberOfEntries=1
File1=1.mp3

Any ideas? The 1.mp3 file is just hosted as a regular file... no special streaming extensions or anything.. just a plain apache server..

Thanks!

Alex,

simply put the audio file's URL into one of the M1001's presets. The URL http://media.ndr.de/progressive/2013/1212/AU-20131212-1835-5442.mp3 for example will play a piece of German comedy.

You will notice that the SoundBridge will play the file in an endless loop. This is because playing files from a server is only possible in internet radio mode where the SoundBridge will "reconnect" after it has reached the end of the file.
