M2000 Available again in limited quantities.

Fri May 05, 2006 11:38 am

Greetings,

I thought I would let you guys (and gals) know that we have some additional inventory of the M2000 in stock at the usual price of $399. They will only be available until these limited quantities are sold, so if you were thinking of getting one, you will probably want to act sooner rather than later.

Since the M2000 stuff is no longer on the site, can you refresh my memory on how many lines the display shows when at a larger font? And if two lines, does that apply to streaming Rhapsody radio also? And let me know if I am off base since I am basing the question on my M1001. :)

M2000 supports three font sizes. One that allows four lines of text on screen, one that allows two (and is about the same size as the M1000's full-height font), and one that allows one (and is downright huge).

Those font sizes are available with all music servers except SlimServer, which does its own UI.

About how many are available? Are these just old stock, or did you do another limited production run?

It is a shame that you are no longer carrying the M2000. The larger display size is fantastic for us folks who are middle-aged and cannot see the M1000 display from across the room.

Please reconsider, I think you are missing a market opportunity!

Thanks for the feedback, but at this point we have no plans to reintroduce the M2000. I would encourage you, if you feel that it's a product you want, to buy one now.

I have three. ;)

Thanks for the heads up.
I just got one of my customers to purchase one for thier electronic alert system.

Now if you could just get me a standby status command and update the IRMAN status with the actual power state, I could finish my LCD UNIX driver and you could compete with crystal fontz and Matrix orbitals <hint hint> ;-)
