I am a long time user of a Roku M1001. I recently acquired a M1000 from a friend, and I notice that it can't connect to many of the radio stations that my M1001 has no trouble with. For example, with BBC World Service and Radio Paradise, it just keeps trying and trying but never connects. Works flawlessly on the M1001. Does anyone have an idea as to what is going on?

Oh, I checked the firmware on the M1000 and it is up to date.

I had a M1000 and moved to a M1001 because the M1000 didn't support WPA or WPA2 WiFi security protocols, only the old WEP protocol. Roku said there was no firmware upgrade for the M1000 that would support the WPA protocols. I never tried the M1000 with a hard wired connection, but I would expect it would be able to connect then.

I still use my M1001, but it seems to be suffering from WiFi or other RF interference in my apartment building, often loosing the connection. I did replace the power supply not too long ago. Maybe it needs checking again.
