ZRadio.org is fantastic. My mum lives in Orlando, and she listens to it over the air.
I'm a fan of their Y-Rock internet only station (ZRadio.org links to sister project RadioY.com). They play the best Christian rock music.
Anyway, the problem with ZRadio/RadioY/YRock and the Roku is that they use WMA Radio (mms://
, Windows Media Player), instead of ShoutCast.
So I've been listening to Y-Rock from my computer ... and ChristianRock.net on the Roku.
But ... I just discovered a post here today, which allowed me to install another server that converts WMA Radio on the fly into a format the Roku can handle. See this thread:
I added RadioY/YRock into that server's ProgrammingGuide.xml, and I'm listening to it via the Roku Soundbridge now! All in all, it took me about 10 minutes to get it setup.
The only trick is that you need to know the "mms://" address of the radio stream ... not the ".asx" file.
If you listen to ZRadio.org, then YRock is probably a bit heavy for you.
So, I'll tell you how to get the regular Z88.3 stream. If you launch the player on your computer, do a right click/view source, and then scan the file for "mms://" links. The Low/Medium/High links for Z88.3/ZRadio.org are:
