I couldn't get the MP3 stream to work last night (either Soundbridge or PC), but I added the ASX and it did. Maybe there's something fishy with the MP3?

Turned out to have the same problem again... couldn't play any of the Virgin MP3 streams.

Switch to ASX and all is well... for now

ASX is the file format used by their Windows Media Player stream. They list all of their stream here: http://www.virginradio.co.uk/listen/ Go to the 'Ways to listen" part of the page and select "online", then copy the appropriate link to your Roku.

still not work, I did switch to the ASX from the link you sent, but still not working. Not sure what the next steps to do to get this corrected, but would say that 1/3 of the preset stations do not work as they did before the upgrade.

Virgin Radio working in NC no probs

Tue Apr 17, 2007 5:35 pm

Not having (or had any issues) with Virgin Radio here in NC (Eastern USA). Works on PC and direct though Soundbridge.

Have you tried the Roku Radio Snooper? This lets you navigate to radio stations on the PC and then directly pick up the Soundbridge compatible stream directly and add it to the presets. http://www.rokulabs.com/support_sb_dwnld_radiosnoop.php

Virgin Radio link copied from my presets

Using latest Soundbridge firmware (2.7)

The MP3 hasn't worked from my soundbridge or my PC for about a month now. On the soundbridge, it just keeps re-trying. I don't even get the "We're having some problems with this internet audio feed" that I would sometimes get. Whether it's a badly configured peer on their part, I don't know. I'm using the mp3 stream as identified above. The IP of the machine it is trying is: 85.159.187.110. Is that what others are using?

The Windows Media Stream does work on both. The URL is: http://player.virginradio.co.uk/core/au ... rvice=vrbb. That host resolves to 85.159.184.110.

There is a new location for the mp3 stream listed on their website, it is now: http://network.virginradio.co.uk/core/a ... rvice=vrbb Which I can confirm works from my Soundbridge with the 2.7 release.
