What happened to WWJ-AM?

Wed May 23, 2007 8:44 am

I've been getting WWJ-AM in Detroit for months with no problem (In fact it was one of the most popular RadioRoku stations for quite sometime). Now, it will tune into the station but all I hear is dead air.

Here is the URL I've been using:

mms://infinity.wm.llnwd.net/bdcast_infinity_wwj-am

Does anyone have any ideas or a newer URL?

Thanks!

Many CBS radio stations have been switching over to a flash player streaming protocol called "Stream The World." The previous audio feed url for WWJ is now obsolete, replaced by the following:

http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/ ... DIALUP.asx
http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/ ... DIALUP.pls

One of these new feeds is in the Roku Radio database, but isn't activated yet.

Thanks, I was able to get this to work with the URL you provided:

http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/ ... DIALUP.pls

I also updated the RokuRadio website with the new URL

One more thing I forgot to add - all of these CBS "Stream The World" stations can now be heard on our SoundBridges by simply substituting the call letters of the station and the "AM" or "FM" part of the overall url.

For some stations, however, sometimes these two general url formats don't work properly when listening on your computer through Windows Media Player or RealPlayer (the feeds sometimes stutter). There is yet another (third) format that sometimes works better on computers:
