KDVS, the station from the University of California at Davis, has quite a few available streams, including a few at a whopping 320kbps!

The list of streams is at

The 320kbps streams are: (constant bit rate) (variable bit rate)

Both are Roku friendly.

KDVS has blocks of varied programming--if you don't like what you hear now, try again in a few hours.

One of our clients runs a great World Music station called African Internet Radio. They broadcast a wide variety of world music based programmes along with a selection of speech orientated shows. Certainly worth a visit if your music taste is 'eclectic'.

Foreign Radio Stations

Wed Dec 20, 2006 10:42 am

I am particularly interested in foreign radio stations that play exclusively (or nearly exclusively) music in their language. It is amazing how much wonderful music we never hear because we only hear music sung in English.

I would appreciate any such radio station suggestions.

And I have one of my own. It is from Stockholm Sweden and specializes in music ONLY from Swedish artists. Some of the songs are in English and some songs are well known in the US (i.e. Abba). But there are many many Swedish artists who sing in Swedish with wonderful music.

So enjoy this station (called Svenska Favoriter):
