Thu Jul 09, 2009 7:58 am

this feature gives the error message as failed.

failed to find a suitable network driver
tested generic dialup and vpn
tested realtek ethernet adapter

with these problems i cannot view presets on soundbridge or detect radio stations

firewall settings allow snooper
UPnP is enabled
and port settings are open 1900 and 2689

Hi blaney07

As others have commented, the Snooper application is not very useful any more, but if you want to persist with it, what are your Network Sniffing Options set to?

If you want to manage your presets manually, just load the Soundbridge UI in a browser.

radio snooper

thanks for the replies to my problem.
i must plead ignorance to your questions and i beg your indulgence.

where / how do i select network sniffing options ?

where do i find soundbridge UI ( ? user interface ? )

i was able at one time to use radio sniffer to view / modify soundbridge presets. now with the network adapter issue i no longer can access soundbridge presets.

another user gave me the website for the station in question and it works through media player.

i would still like to manage the presets online. is there another way?

thanks for your patience and knowledge.

what is your preferred method for managing sb presets ?

Hi again Blaney07,

As I told you once before: "Snooper = Crap" Like me, this software is very old and of little use these days.

I'm glad you found the link I offered you for WNIR to be working A/OK. To enter this or other stations that will play A/OK on your SoundBridge as a preset, merely enter the IP address of your SoundBridge into the address-bar of your browser (IE or Firefox) then you'll see displayed the "SoundBridge's User Interface -

At the top of this interface-page you'll see: Now Playing| Presets| Configuration| Status - all of which enable the end-user to "fine-tune" or customize their SoundBridge. By selecting ‘Presets’ you’ll then gain access to the available 18 locations.
With your SoundBridge switched on, enter the name of the station, then selecting “URLâ€
