I'm stumped - WIIS 107.1 FM Key West, FL

Mon Aug 10, 2009 8:45 pm

Hi All:

Trying to add WIIS 107.1 FM Key West, FL (http://www.island107.net) into Radio Roku. The following audio url plays fine on my computer using Windows Media Player, but won't play on my Soundbridge:

Any thoughts as to why?

Hi Garrett,

as Bob has now already informed you, this is being "broadcast" using the RTSP protocol -
I'll send you an email that will explain to you how you can use WMP to check for this situation.

Cheers, Alan

Okay, I get it - thanks. Too bad; WIIS is a cool station...

I take it that the chances of a firmware upgrade that provides RTSP capability to our Soundbridges rounds up to zero...

Also, I noticed several new stations yesterday using a Jetcast player/protocol for their streaming, and I couldn't identify any usable type of stream url through snooper. A few other new ones were using StreamTheWorld (not CBS-owned stations, that provide us with a Soundbridge-friendly url) and a few other new ones yet were using some kind of flash player. I take it we can't listen to any of these on our Soundbridges either...
