Absolutly correct ! I did rename /etc/resolv.conf and have no delay.

My file etc/resolve/conf l
has two lines:
search ati-stw
nameserver 192.168.1.1
Not being a Linux/Unix person I am not sure what they mean.
192.168.1.1 is the main router for the house. It is not (to my knowledge) a name server. I just changed it to point to the DNS server I use for my world and it works fine! Telnet now logs in immediately!!!!
