Yes, the 1.8 firmware upgrade is just LOADED with new capability. DLNA compatible now, DVD upscaling to 720p/1080i/1080p, more BlueTooth capabilities, more Remote Play capabilities for those also owning a PSP, etc.
I will assume you have one. I'm still trying to figure out HOW to get MPEG-2 Transport Stream files that play awesome on the PhotoBridge to play on the PS3, without running them through some conversion to MP4/AVC/AAC/etc.??? Any ideas? I've tried renaming to MPG, MPEG, M2T, M2V, etc. and no luck. Prowled some web sites and no luck. From the specs it seems it is capable of this, yet I haven't figured out how???
Pisses me off Sony only supports FAT32 on external USB drives. 4GB limitation sucks.
